April 11, 2025

At 9:12pm, 17 United Volunteers answered the call for the working barn fire. By 10:15, the fire was under control. All units cleared the scene at 12:19. Upon returning to the station, your firefighters faced a substantial workload, including washing 2000' of hose, cleaning 7 air packs, refilling 8 air cylinders, and cleaning various tools. Additionally, they had to replenish foam supplies and reorganize equipment. Your Volunteers returned home at 2:30am, many facing full-time jobs shortly thereafter. It's essential to recognize that firefighting work extends far beyond extinguishing the flames.
